We have the skill, experience and equipment for large scale tree trimming and reduction at your home or business, but we also do the smaller jobs. As trees grow larger year after year, many people underestimate the importance of periodic maintenance.
Tree Trimming or Thinning- consist of removing excess branches and deadwood, which improves appearance and lightens heavy branches for safety while keeping shade from the tree.
Tree Pruning- improves the shape and size of the tree by removing unwanted branches and leaves that may hinder the growth or overall size of the trees.
Tree Reduction- is a general term for reducing the size (most commonly the height) of a tree. The wrong way is simply "topping" or "Pollarding" the tree, popular in the bus, but frowned up by experts. Topping a tree results in deformed shapes, and the resulting "finger branches" create dangerous windsail, and included bark that causes long term defects or death to a tree. the correct way to reduce a tree is strategic removal of branches, cutting multi pronged branches back to their main lateral, which gives a centered and balanced tree and safety is improved as heavy deadwood is removed and windsail effect minimized
View Clearing- Clearing trees or limbs to enhance a view is a relatively inexpensive way to increase property value.
Crown Lifting (or Crown Raising)-Crown lifting is the removal of the lowest branches and/or preparing of lower branches for future removal. Crown lifting is an effective method of increasing light transmission to areas closer to the tree or to enable access under the crown but should be restricted to less than 15% of the live crown height and leave the crown at least two thirds of the total height of the tree.
